This tradition of baking in the charms has been done in Holland for years and years. I know that when my grandmother married she had a cake withthe charms in it also. I would peg her to have been closer to the time frame of Kit. But the tradition is still done in many wedding my family has in Holland. All of the cousins did this when they married in recent years. for one cousin a perticular charm allowed the winner a dance with the bride or groom.
